Next, Kristina Campbell, Maria Carmen Collado and Mariya Petrova gave a series of inspiring Career Talks full of useful advice for ambitious young scientists looking to build their careers.

During the Discussion Groups, students and fellows voiced their opinions and contemplated the future of Probiotics, Prebiotics and Microbiome research.

Afterwards, during the Poster Session, SFA and ISAPP members had a chance to network and present a total of 46 posters, resulting in exciting ISAPP-SFA interactions. Poster Prizes were awarded to outstanding posters presented by Eline Oerlemans, Geethika Liyanage and Sarah Donnelly.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the Fermentation Workshop given by John Leech, Sander Wuyts and Wannes Van Beeck, emphasizing both the science and the fun behind fermented food.
